that's what I mean they told my friend that same thing and forced her to have one. they said her baby was almost 10 pounds. they lied . she was only 8 pounds. you don't have to if you don't want to. they just trying to make more money and be lazy. you know c sections cost twice as much as vaginal deliveries . that's why they always force them on you . so , unless it's an emergency, don't do it.

at 37 weeks callie was 6 lbs and I had her at 40 w 5 d and she weighed 7lbs 7 oz and had her vaginally so I pray your Dr doesn't force the c section on you unless you and baby really need it

don't have one and if she try to act like its what's best switch doctors cuz a 8 pound baby is no cause for a c section even a 10 pounder our bodies are made to deliver I can understand if you were in labor for a long time and pushed and pushed and baby just wouldn't come and then u had to have one but just to skip labor altogether and be like o no baby is big u need a c section is just wrong

they said that to me too but I can't have an 8lb baby because of my body frame,I wouldn't be able to carry it, or deliver without breaking something... are you naturally petite?

my sister is very petite and so is my mom there only like 4 foot and some inches and they both had 8 and 9 pound babies

that's not true for everyone I know lots of petite moms who gave birth to really big babies with no problem @babycasey

@babygirl10-11, bless them both! luckily my biggest was 7.1lbs... and you're right, nothing is true for everyone, everyone is different. but I was more meaning bone structure...short and petite are two different things. For me personally, I'm 5'1" with small, frail bones and my hips can only get so wide before I'd snap.

they can't force you to have a csection, they can recommend it but they can't force it. like you said your body, your choice. BTW those measurements are not accurate at all

yea I know that told my sister her hips weren't wide enough for a 8lbs baby and tried to get her to have a c section she refused and went ahead with labor and did just fine @babycasey are they trying to get u to have a c section to ?

I agree with @ce5ce .... unless it's medically necessary and an emergency, I wouldn't let them "force" it. that ain't right.

@babygirl10-11, I've noticed that too... and it's because they get more money from insurance to get people under the knife, a c section is more expensive

@babygirl10-11, oh no, not yet anyways, and I'm praying I don't have to! I've been able to have my 3 kids vaginally, so I'm praying this one can be!! I've noticed allot of girls are scheduling them these days, and I don't understand why...
