I had the paragard and hated it on the other hand I used the nuvaring and I LOVED it my periods went from weeks on end to only 3-4 days and they weren't real heavy most the time they were light to almost just spotting

Since the IUD almost destroyed my uterus, I'd suggest you do your research before making that decision

I'm getting Paraguard soon.. there no hormones in it so it won't mess with your cycle

@squeakpipsmommy0607, I had the paragard and it made me bleed for a long time at a time.... Like I would bleed for 3-4 weeks at a time... It was horrible. The doctor told me some people did good and their bleeding was almost none and then there are some who have opposite effect so of course I had the opposite lol just my luck but giving you the heads up of the bad to it if it may happen to you

@squeakpipsmommy0607, mine was the same way I had them for like a week or maybe a day or 2 more than a week each time but I went from the paragard to the nuvaring and I absolutely LOVED it I had no horrible effects from it, no cramping pains, or anything and my periods would only last about 3-4 days with it and was VERY light to almost just spotting most the time...also with the paragard I would even bleed in between periods bc the part that goes across the top would puncture into my cervix walls and cause little tears
