I put everything on mine. From the crib, to the bottles, to the nipples, even the ottoman! What they buy, great, what they don't, it still got a big chunk out of the way for me l

I suggest registering at Babies R Us. Register for anything you see that you want! Seriously!!!! Babies r us will give you a list of what to register for also.

@fancy.shattuck, at one of my friend's baby showers she had a "baby cake" it was made up of baby blankets, baby body wash, baby bottles, baby powder, pacifiers, a towel, and a rubber duck. it was adorable

On my first registry, I put everything like it was a (wishful) shopping spree lol. Now this time around, I know better. I'm only putting what I absolutely need, no frills. I'm getting the word out that the important items I need are on the registry and ask people to follow that. Last time, I think people looked at my registry and saw way too much stuff, which made it overwhelming to find anything. Most people said screw the registry and got me whatever they wanted. I ended up with a lot of cute things, but less of what I really needed. People will buy the extra cute things on their own along with your necessities. I also don't put the couple big ticket items because I feel like that's a little forward. The closest family members know the big items I need and plan to get them. It's important to recognize that not everyone wants to spend over $50 on you, lol!

carriers, car seats/stroller/travel system, toys, bunches of toy, teether that can double as a toy, extra sheets, diapers of all sizes and brands, wipes, high chair (personally I like the small one that attach to a chair, they're easy to set anywhere, and it's good to sit on the floor with), play yard, cool mist humidifier, grooming kit, thermometer, Tylenol (won't be needed, hopefully, but always good to have around), gripe water, bath time sets, towels and wash rags, bouncer, and swaddling blankets. I know there's more, but I can't think of it, but these are all things I've used with my daughter, and I hope it helps you get an idea.

@fancy.shattuck, Could always have a diaper shower. That's a huge expense!

I registered at Target (got a free goodie bag also btw) and I registered at Walmart and babies r us... Main things I put on there were crib sheets/mattress protectors, toys and of course diapers... Can't ever have too many of those!

hamper, wipes and diapers (I suggest size 2-4)... binkies. . wipe warmer (I just put the wipe on my leg to warm it up but it'd be nice to.have them warmed up already). .. bottles, if you're breastfeeding and are gonna pump, I strongly suggest getting lots of.freezer baggies...

baby towels and wash cloths, definitely lots of.receiving blankets (I use them for everything)
