I'm new to this.... but I'm very concerned about something I found out at my doctor visit today, I had an ultrasound and everything came back normal but they found a spot in the baby's heart and said that's an indication of down syndrome, so then they gave me the result of the screening and the she have a slim chance of having downs, my results came back 1.62.. I'm going back tomorrow for the actual test to determine if she has it.. the crazy thing about it is I don't have thus condition in my family nor is it in her father's side.. but the doctor told me not to worry because there's a slim chance she may have it but I'm over here worried and crying my eyes out!! has anyone had the same problem!!???

My babe has this "bright spot" on his heart too. Still, I think the chances are really slim so I'm not worrying about it whatsoever.

Yeah, I'm trying not to worry but when the doctor told me the screening came back that she may have it but the chances are very slim that's what scared me.. but her body part don't how any indication of her even having it..

Based off of that number think about it this way, if she's in a room with 61 other people 1 of those 62 people in the room (that's including her) has downs. Don't get yourself too worked up mama

So what is this 1.62 number from? Is that a number from the triple screen test? Also, did your doc recommend an amniocentesis? And how old are you?

my niece has downs and she just turned five, she's a very healthy smart and interactive girl she's in school doesn't need someone by her side 24 7. I understand the part of being worried about health issues this is why I'm telling you this but don't assume that just because your baby might have downs its the end of the world because its not. ( that is not ment to sound rude once so ever)
