Do you have to get a catheter while going into labor ???

Vaginal delivery No. Well at lease I didn't, but I went natural.

I think if you get the epidural they give u the catheter

I don't think I had one while I was induced, but I don't remember.

I had one during a csection but during my vbac I didnt have one and I had an epidural

I had one with each of my csections, three total

I got one with the epidural, but other than that if you don't get one I don't believe you need a catheter.

I dont believe so with a csection. they pretty much put one in with any type of surgery

@ainsleighsmommy, I wish it was optional I would have said hell no. It's so uncomfortable having one but here in Florida I think you have to get one for a csection. I've had one vaginal delivery and I didn't get catheter

when you get a c section y I u will need one because you won't be able to get out of bed for atleast 12 hours

but with an epidural they give you one too or bed pan because you won't be able to walk or anythinf

If you have an epidural yes you will have too because you won't be able to walk to the bathroom
