so my family has a family friend that likes to ride around with his redneck friends and wave the confederate flag... he thinks it was cool that a redneck ignorant jerk ran over a n african american man who took his flag down... i told.my family that i dont want this man at my shower because its at a park and u dont know who will be at the park and i have friends who dont like the confederate flag.. i dont think he should like to provoke people and i dont want that drama started at my shower... my family thinks im being tok semsitive but im seriously not interested in having radicals at my babyshower... am i okay for not inviting this long time family friend?

U r not wrong in any way for not inviting him. He is obviously provoking people and u don't need the drama at ur shower

thats what i was wondering... my mom said the guy is like family.. but even if he was i wouldnt invite him... i have friends of many races coming to the shower and i dont need that kind of.ignorance and him provoking arguments... its not his day.. so i dont want to invite him... my mom is good friends with his mom and she already extended the invite to the mom but i made it clear that the guy isnt welcome... maybe if he doesnt drive his ugly redneck truck and can act like a decent person around my friends amd.family
