We are having a little girl, but my boyfriend and I discussed that if it would have been a boy, we'd leave him uncircumcised because my boyfriend isn't circumcised either. That way, when time comes to talk about growing and changes, baby boy would be "like daddy" and he wouldn't have to try and explain why they look different.

Right. I mean my bf is circumcised, but I've heard and read that it's actually healthier not to get it done, and plus all they do is strap them to a board and cut it with no anesthesia or anything and I'm like even od they are babies that has to scar them for life..

my baby got circumcised while at the hospital. didn't hurt him at all. he is all normal. I'm for it.

Mainly the decision is either for health or religious reason you have to look at the upside and the down of getting the baby circumcised now if you don't get it down side is you will need to learn how to clean the foreskin of the penis until he can do it himself but if you do have it done after he is born it's quick and the baby won't remember it happening and it's just better for hygiene you won't have to clean it for him but you will need to keep it clean for him at first until it heals but once it healed your job is done

I don't wanna do it. Figure they can't choose themselves, most people do it for religious or appearance purposes (neither of which I personally care for) and it's easier to take it off later in life than to put it back on. That's just me though.

an uncircumcised penis can be a bigger risk for infections as little boys or boys in general don't clean themselves well because they are just typical guys. I personally believe it's the fathers choice because they are the ones who have that part. it's a bigger & more dangerous surgery when they're older plus a lot of docs won't do it after a certain age. they actually give them a shot to numb the area, my son hardly cried. he just wanted to cuddle afterwards.

well as for hygiene I've heard and read on both sides that there both better. lol. but I've read that more guys that are circumcised have more problems with ED than guys who are uncircumcised(later in life). and more risk of infections if circumcised.. because well the extra skin is basically a shield. but then I've heard a lot of pros for being circumcised..its just such a huge decision and I don't want to regret the choice I make.

The extra skin being a shield is definitely wrong. The extra skin traps bacteria and is what is the cause of yeast infections and other infections in boys. It is common for little boys to get infections from not being circumcised because they don't understand how to clean it well or leave soap in it or complain it hurts to pull back the skin when trying to clean it. Many older men have problems with infections as well because in nursing homes and what not they are only bathed a couple times a week and some of the nurses are not exactly the best at caring for or worrying about their patients other than vitals and meds so it is honestly much healthier. Many people say let them choose when they get older well by that time they are old enough to understand cleaning it and have already delt with it their whole lives and are comfortable. Plus it is much more of a problem and more painful and higher risk once older. It is ultimately up to you but that's just what I know about it ☺️

To say an uncircumcised penis is prone to more bacteria is just a flat out lie ! Regardless the penis will get bacteria . Just don't be lazy & clean it ! That's such a Bs statement lol I know for a fact my nephew & man have never had a infection or problems
