So people keep telling me I am crazy, but u swear I heard on here or if not some where else if you exclusively breast feed you won't get a period?? My son turned 3 months on the 15th and I still haven't gotten a period?

Everyone is different but I exclusively breastfed and didn't have a period for 9 months. (Then got pregnant lol) but it's pretty common to not have a period for a while when you're EBF!

@queendavis, that's what I've been hearing!! And the only downfall about not having them is not knowing if your pregnant or not lol. Congrats :)

yes breastfeeding is like birth control. so , when you exclusively breastfeed you period stops but if you stop and switch to formula it will slowly start to come back . I didn't have a period with my daughter until I got sick and had to stop feeding for a month

I didn't get my regular period for almost a whole year because of BF! There were a couple random ones that came, but I loved not having them. Plus, when you BF, you burn a ton of calories. It also helps your uterus shrink back down fast after delivery.
