@mrsmoore, hey wanna swap locations lmao?! I am sick of CA. It's over-rated, over-priced, over-heated, over-populated... I'm fkn OVER it! Not to mention we have a lot of political and medical tyranny going on right now, it is not the biz. I'll always love it because it's home- and I can drive 30 min in either direction and get to a beach or a mountain and I live in one of the biggest, high tech capitols of the world... but I would move in a heartbeat. So, how is WI? Hahaha.
lol yea I have but everybody tells me its so expensive and blah blah lol,but my boyfriend said go ahead and go down there for a week because he knows I've always wanted to try out at auditions even tho its a long shot lol and to see how I like it is
it is very expensive tho. that would be the ONLY thing (i think) that i dont like..I dream with staying here n living at a decent place..cuz if ur not someone like professional u know or making good $ then its hard u either have to live with more ppl or family to afford rent..its hard. but i dont let that get to me. i love it here i know if i were to go anywhere else i wouldn't feel as good. n wow what would u audition as ☺ @mrsmoore
@mrsmoore, I went to a private film school and worked with some casting directors and got to work on a couple auditions in SoCal. I also assistant directed a documentary about people moving to LA for acting. I'll never forget how many lives it has ruined and how many dreams it's killed. I'd never be one to say not to follow your dreams and I like your boyfriend's idea of giving it a week just to try it, but just be aware that it is a cruel and cutthroat place. The most heartbreaking case we used in our doc was about this girl who was a straight A student, totally motivated and was a theater princess at her high school in the Midwest. She and her friend moved to LA for acting and she ended up hooked on drugs and a life of prostitution. Total 180.
oh wow,yea I deff wouldn't move there just to focus on that and if I did move there the auditions would be my priority job it would be just for fun and maybe get some luck out of it,that's sad to see or hear that happen,but it sounds like you have a great job
