ok ladies...had a bad night last night..my baby just wouldnt fall asleep!! he has been sleeping in his snapper which i thiught he lovee but i had to sleep with him on my chest on the couch and he actualky slept from 1:30 to 5:00 this morning...then i put him back in his napper at 5 but still got skwermy so i put him in our bed and he slept till 9:30...any ideas what might be happening?

he's a newborn, they don't have set schedules. his sleeping pattern will vary based on many things

Have you tried swaddling him?

@sarahdalynn, no...he did seem to like that at the hospital..he slept better...

I would try swaddling him again. when his body jerks or gets cold that is probably what's waking him up.

I'd definitely try it again. My baby would break his swaddles and then wake up so I bought the swaddleme blankets that have Velcro. they were seriously lifesavers. he would sleep long stretches in his bassinet and only wake up to nurse and then go back to sleep.

you can get them at Kmart, Wal-Mart, target.. pretty much anywhere. there are different sizes depending on babies weight
