Apple cider in a cup, put some plastic wrap over it and poke a few holes about the size of a pencil they will fall in and die.

Welcome. I had them bad just like you with no food out or anything and that worked best. If cider does work well enough you can try fruit juice

If you can't get rid of them try cleaning your drains. I know that sounds silly but drain flies look just like fruit flies and they come around when you have drains that haven't been bleached in a while!!! Get someone to do your toilet, sinks, and bathtubs and see if it helps!

Apple cider vinegar is more potent as far as smell and I've had good luck with it.
