I had an ultra sound done Monday with my regular OB and he said he thought I was having a girl but…

yeah, i paid $250 for a 3d ultrasound was told it was definitely a girl. i have a dvd and everything them pointing saying girl. Well guess what, surprise i had a boy. It happens

@odixiedelight, so am I not suppose to start shopping then? I mean how am I going to know what I'm actually having then?

I had just a regular in office ultrasound at 16 weeks and was told girl... At 19 weeks and some days I had my Anatomy scan and was told boy. I'm pretty sure it's in fact a boy... Lol

I was 18 weeks 3 days Monday when my doctor said he thought it was a girl but couldn't tell and then 18 weeks 4 days yesterday at the private ultrasound and she was positive it was a girl. @ftmbabyboy11 did yours look like thatv

@countrymommy0916, I went ahead and got boy things, but if for any reason you are in doubt I would try to buy neutral colors

I got a 3d at 15 weeks and it was a girl than went back at 18 weeks and still a girl than at my 20 week anatomy scan still a girl, so so far mine have all been the same

I'm not in doubt I feel like it definitely is just a ftm and scared now that idk what to think or if I should buy or not

Will your ob doctor give you another scan? If so, i'd hold off on buying boy or girl things til then. Or just stay will neutral colors. I went out and bought tons of girl things. i exchanged most for boys and what i couldn't I kept, i had a girl 18 months later after my son.

I got my anatomy scan at 18 weeks 2 days and the tech couldn't really tell because of the way my baby was facing. she said "I don't see anything sticking out so I'd say a girl" and I was freaking out not knowing if I was for sure having a girl. at 34 week I got a private ultrasound and they confirmed it with the 3 lines :)

@countrymommy0916, at my first ultrasound the Dr didn't give me any shots to see for myself and needless to say it was hard to see on screen, crappy ultrasound machine actually lol but my ultrasound tech at my Anatomy scan actually pin pointed what was the umbilical cord and where it was and showed different graphs and colors and showed where the blood flow was etc and then showed me that what was on screen was not the umbilical cord... She was pretty certain.

@gillianamy, thank you! && @ftmbabyboy11 at the private ultra sound I got done she showed me the umbilical cord and then showed the area and said its a girl. Checked back several times and even happened to get a peek looking right down on the baby and seen no parts between the legs .

@countrymommy0916, that's probably a really good chance it's a girl then 😊if they didn't see any boy parts by that point then there won't be any. I think that happened to me because of the low quality machine and a baby that wasn't exactly cooperating at the time.

@ftmbabyboy11, yeah the first ultrasound Monday she wasn't cooperating and the doctor guessed he wasn't really sure and then yesterday the lady was for sure and checked numerous times throughout the ultra sound so I mean I have a feeling she is right .
