My daughter and I went through the same thing. Best thing is get a love comb and olive oil. Cover her hair in it like soaking, then comb it. The olive oil slows them down making them easier to comb and put on paper towels. Make sure you throw away each paper towel and make sure they don't crawl off though so I suggest folding the paper towel until it's a small square that way you get the most use. Repeat process until gone You can leave the olive oil in her hair over night if you want or wash after everytime.

But at night won't they get in her bed clothes? Like how do you get rid of it for sure? Anxiety is on ten with this situation

They should have a lice remover kit at a pharmacy or Wal-Mart or something. And get a lice comb to run through her hair before washing out the remover. I've only had lice once in my life, and it was because some foster kids came into the house with it and transmitted it to all of us. Was not fun.

They could, I use a shower cap also I've always put stuffed animals in a trash bag so they won't get to those, vacuum the floors often, and change bedding about every two days, it's a horrible thing to deal with, I battled it with mine for 5 months because her dad swear it wasn't coming from him and wouldn't clean so make sure even if they "don't" have it they need to treat themselves and they house as if they did. You might want to check your hair and anyone else that lives with you just to be save. Dogs don't get it and lice can't jump so they can only fall off someone's head or crawl. If you could keep your daughter in certain areas of the house only it would help you keep them confined until they are all gone.

Lice kits work wonders, Any stuffed animals need to be bagged for like 14 days also bedding. You repeat the treatment ten days after first.

What a nightmare! Get on it asap so your whole house dont need the once over. Yeah definitely get a kit for her and clean anything as she's been in contact with... clothes,bed,couch, and i think they have furniture spray or something. Good luck that sucks!

One time I got it when I was a kid from my cousin and every single night my mom would put gel in my hair, the gel suffocates the lice, so she did that and maybe one of the lice treatments until they were gone. I recommend the gel personally cause it doesn't have the smell, and that was my preferred method as a kid

Hopefully since I just picked her up and put her straight in the tub when we got home that it won't spread...

Hopefully, I would suggest not washing her hair too often though until you're sure it's all gone I know that sounds gross but lice actually like clean hair it's easier to put eggs on rather than greasy or hair that has hair spray.

I'd keep a bandana on her head after treatment this way it had less of a chance getting in your house.

I've also heard of using maonaise on hair with a shower cap on top. that's an idea to use in a few days.

@jomommaclark, the only problem is she's two.. She will never keep a bandana or a shower cap or anything on... She won't even wear a hat.

oh.....yeah forget that idea. maonaise would be a great ideas though bc of no chemicals. you'll just have to Google it on how long to leave it on.
