What a crazy night. Finally able to sit down and relax. Had the piss scared out of me around 11pm. Was working on taking garbage out and to the curb, on last bag open door and there is this friggen black bear less than 2 ft in front of me at the last bag i took out not 5 mins before. I know I live near the woods but damn in the 9 yrs never had a bear right outside my door. Called state police, they called game commission. cant send anyone out till morning. said i could shoot it if i feel threatened. went to get rifle after an hour. Hubby has them locked up and I couldn't find key. He has it with him. WTF good does that do me? (hubby is truck driver and only home once a month for 4 days) bear left a half hour ago.

I think I'm more ticked off at my hubby. because of his stupid decision I'm not able to protect my kids and property. No doubt in my mind that unless that bear is killed or removed by game commission he is going to keep coming back. he had no fear being around the house and that scares me. with the lights on, loud noises he still stuck around

omg i had that happen to me when i still lived in Alaska! except it was 2 cubs so i knew the momma had to be near by! and i was the only one home.

I had that happen with an alligator at our fish came once when I went down to take the garbage out... Looked up there was an 8ft gator just hanging out on pier lol
