ANYONE GET THEIR MEMBRANES STRIPPED?? If so what really is it and what's the purpose? I heard its supposed to help start labor before having to resort to inducing? How did it feel and did it work for you? I'm 2 days past my due date and don't think labor will be coming my way anytime soon.. 😑😒😞

I got my membranes stripped and it honestly wasn't bad afterwards I started bleeding kinda like medium period it's suppose to help it also stretches you a little. I was I believe 2 almost 3 and they did a membrane sweep and stretched me to a full 3:) it can help get things moving. but what really made me dilate quick was when they broke my water I went from a 4 to a 10 in 2 in a half hours and the nurse didn't believe me when I said I needed to push because "it's too soon your not there yet"she checked and I was.

they wouldn't strip mine because I haven't dialated I'm 40 weeks and 5 days

ya I get induced on Wednesday but I've been in false Labor for 22 days I'm so ready just wasn't planning on any meds so really bummed out. @mariceladez

22 days? oh my gosh.. well as long as baby gets here safely that's all that matters in the end! 😊

exactly and she seems to be very healthy lol @mariceladez
