mine got imbedded in my uterus and I had to have it surgically removed. NEVER AGAIN! @dreamsmommy15

I didn't get mirena, but I did get the Paraguard. It's non hormonal copper IUD. The only side effects were a really heavy period for the first several months. I had it in for about 3 years before trying to get pregnant. (In case you were wondering, upon removal I got pregnant ASAP).

my friend got it and they literally had to dig in her for an hour to find it because it got lost

I had it loved it, no complications what-so-ever

@dreamsmommy15, I hope you continue to like it. I've heard of it getting lost and having to have surgery to remove it. Eek! I just don't want to gain the weight with it. Haha.

I had it 2 years, gained 40 pounds, always bloated, no period but was always uncomfortable and crampy. My husband said I became the devil. I did. hair fell out by the handfuls.

I don't have it, nor have I. But, it surprises me they still allow it on the market. There's so many bad side effects I keep hearing. Do you like it?
