Have you told your doctor you want to request another growth scan? Maybe instead of just going with the doctor explain your concerns and he can either explain why he's doing what he's doing maybe he knows something you don't or maybe he will take your concerns into consideration and do another scan . he said "I think he is still growing" I called about an hour ago and told the nurse my concerns and that I wanted another scan to see if there is any growth. she took my.number and said she would talk to the dr and then call me back. I just feel like they should already be monitoring it and they arent. yesterday my fundal height was 33. at 36 weeks his growth scan showed him measuring 33 weeks. im 37 and 3 days now. @countrymommy0916

@ngujen, I thought they would have sent me to a specialist but they arent doing anything. I figured they would at least do another scan to check for any growth then discuss whether I should be induced early. my bestfriend used the same ob and she said they prob wont do another ultrasound.

@countrymommy0916, im gonna wait a hour or so and call again. I tried to let it slide and go with the dr but I can handle this stress and worry. they should be doing something and they arent. I think in the least I should have had another scan so they could compare it for growth.

They should do whatever tests you ask them to do, so you can have peace of mind. They're getting paid one way or another, it's not about them, it's about you and baby. Keep your head up and don't be afraid to speak up. I'm 36 weeks 4 days and I have issues that I'm not looking forward to bringing up, but I'm just gonna have to.

@scarletts_mommy, I had to ask them for the first growth scan bc I had measured behind two appointments in a row in fundal height. then the growth scan showed him 3 weeks behind in everything but his head which was on time. and he is only in the 4th percentile on weight. dr said he is small but I think he is still growing. but they arent doing anything else to make sure.

They definitely should make sure he's still growing. You shouldn't have to worry the rest of your pregnancy, ya know? I hope they call you back with some answers. And I hope everything with your baby is okay.

just schedule the appointment, don't even ask. it's a medical concern so even if he said no, I would still do it. my doctor wouldn't give me a gender scan (he never did an anatomy scan either) and I called and scheduled one anyways lol. I'm switching doctors now because I can't deal with him anymore. Best of wishes to you!

nurse just called back. she said she spoke to the dr and he said he still feels like everything is fine and is willing to sit down and talk to me about my concerns. he also said two heads can be better than one and said they should send me to a specialist to have an extensive ultrasound down to see if the specialist agrees with my dr. so I told them I want to see a specialist bc I want to see if there has been any growth. the earliest they could get me in is tuesday @ 3:45.

good thing you pushed for what you feel is right. with my son my dr never questioned my baby growth after 20 weeks and it wasn't until everyone around me kept telling me I was too small for 7.5 mo that I forced them to check his weight. turns out he was in the 5th percentile and I had to get scans twice a week and then they induced me. I hope your baby is doing great.

I'm so scared that we are waiting to long to find out what's going on. I'll be 38 weeks and 2 days when i see the specialist.

Well my ultrasound is this Monday then take it from there. Maybe not enough fluid maybe he's just going to be small not sure

My fluid was good at last ultrasound. the dr just thinks he is small. but I feel like they should check again and see if he is just small but still growing or if something else is going on. @tracynangel

I know! I mean they have to still be growing right?! My baby can't just stop growing! He was average two weeks ago
