Dang :/ well if you have bottles and you're okay with using them, I would pump some breast milk and mix in some oatmeal cereal, not rice cereal, in the bottle and give it to him for his bedtime feeding. He's old enough and he'll be KO. My daughter slept for 7 hours straight the first few times and now that she's more used to it it's about 4.5 hours. And are you laying him on his back? If so I would try his stomach. Mine can't sleep on her back cuz she wakes up immediately, but sleeps fine through the night on her stomach. She knows how to lift and move her head side to side and won't let herself not breathe so I don't worry
sounds like you have a "high needs" baby. I know from experience how tough and exhausting that can be. If you are breastfeeding, you need to keep feeding at night. Your body releases melatonin into your milk, so if you do decide to do a bottle, use milk you just pumped. I'm a local mommy of a 2.5 yo and 1 month old. I promise it gets easier. yup exactly lol and I'm usually the only one that can hold him. and only in a certain position. but to put him to sleep is either nursing or rocking or singing. or all three together. and I have to walk him around all day lol. unless I can distract him for like 5-10 min playing on his jungle gym thing. @numommie
and it is frustrating. especially the nap thing. I think it would be okay if he would just nap alone. but I have to hold him and it's so boring. and I can't get anything done. @numommie
@alicia3_21 yup that's exactly what my husband and I are going through. and her preferred person switches from day to day. we've bought so many things to help her sleep but they aren't working. :( from what we've learned high needs kids are unpredictable.
yeah I get ya. mine won't ride in a car. he screams in it. so we hardly go anywhere. and he sleeps he just has to sleep in bed and wake constantly to nurse. that's at night. during day he won't sleep in bed only in the rocking chair with me holding him. he is very picky lol. @numommie

yes I just breastfed. I haven't tried it. hes finally down he just woke back up as soon as I set him down. that drive s me insane lol @arielle
