I'm a single mom, so between raising my daughter alone, and working, I have little time or care for working out. We did a water babies class this summer, and I felt self concious the whole 30 minutes, but when I saw the smile on my daughters face I thought, you know what, who cares what I look like? My body made this beautiful happy child, and I'm beyond proud of her. Sure, I wish my stomach wasn't so jiggly. The stretch marks don't bother me so much. I wish I didn't have all the cellulite. But how will I teach my daughter to love her body if I can't love mine? I refuse to miss out on anything with her for the sake of my vanity.

Is it weird that I'm kind of excited for my mommy body? Whenever I look at it, I hope I remember what an incredible thing it did.

I don't think it's weird at all! I never felt sexier after giving birth. But I have always had body image issues. Way before pregnancy. The media definitely perpetuates unrealistic standards for the post baby body.

For real. I feel bad for celebrities it's like if they don't have their prepregnancy body back after 2 or 3 weeks, their on every tabloid getting called a fat cow.
