Got some great news from the doctor today. I guess they only give ultrasounds for a medical reason…

I'm a little surprised they won't do an anatomy scan. They do to check any defects and make sure the organs are growing properly so it's a little strange that they won't cover and ultrasound like that

I have never heard of that I have had like 4 ultrasounds so far with my third baby. I'm 22 weeks tomorrow

My insurance company is medicaid. I have never heard of this either. I think it is this doctors office, but who knows it is confusing. I am hoping they check organs and development tomorrow.

That's crazy. I've never heard of that. But at least you get one! I won't have another unless I start measuring big

@alayna22, I have medicaid and I've had ultrasounds for NT, anatomy (twice), and fetal echo (3 times). they always tell me it's precautionary....that's so weird they won't give it to you. those are regular scans

I have medicaid too, must be different in states then, we'll I'm glad they are gonna give you another ultrasound .

@hippiebaby89, I agree it is very weird, when I get further along I am going to see if I can get another one. I think it just might be the OBGYN I have! Doesnt make sense, everyone else I know has several ultrasounds, they go through a different doctor.

@alayna22, I am almost 15 weeks and they did one when I went to the ER but wouldn't let me see my baby. now I have to find a new doctor because he's moving and wait 5 more weeks

@momma_beffers, they wouldnt let me see mine either when I was in the er. All they had to do was tilt the screen. 😑 hoping you find a doctor soon! It sucks waiting around.
