You don't tend to get to choose Hun, it's just what's available. I had mine 12 weeks exactly I think?

Ok :) I just want to get an early one though :) I know lots of women get ones at 6 weeks or less. Just for reassurance. The baby is definitely more formed at 12 weeks. I want a lovely picture :) My boyfriends family don't know yet. He wants to let them know by showing them a scan picture :) @bambi14 My mum can't wait to find out the sex. I think she's more excited than I am haha. I'm not bothered about the sex. I'm just bothered about having a healthy baby!

Yeah, I don't fancy having an internal scan...will find it too awkward! @bee1979

They don't tend to give you an early scan unless you've got problems that could be passed on to the baby or you've had previous miscarriages. You don't get to choose when you have a scan either. They give you the scan date unless you pay to go private. I wanted a lovely picture but baby didn't want to stay still for one so I didn't get one at all😟 & they just ask basic medical history on your side and tell you to take vitamins etc. c

I had an internal at 8 weeks then a normal at 12, 20 and 28 weeks. I now have to have ones at 32 36 and also 40 if he's not arrived by then. I go to darrent valley and they don't charge for the scan pictures x

my hosp charged £3 per pic but my sonographer gave me 8 pics for £3 :)))

My first appointment with my midwife I had a blood test urine sample blood pressure weight and hight done than we talked through any medical problems within the family, what hospital u want too have your baby in & whether u want to go to antenatal classes or not.. I had my scan at 13 weeks 2 days love the scans so amazing!

I got 3 pictures for £5 x

all my scan pictures were free but there was a donation box.

which I put a couple of pounds in.x
