My son had that issue and still does to this day. When I tried to find medicine for it he wasn't old enough for anything. I'd ask your dr. I gave my son chamomile tea but I'm not sure how old he was when that was. He's 2 now and I still have to give him miralax every so often so he can go.
thank you guys ! when he goes he whines & it's only a little . then a few min later a little more . he went from pooping 4-5 times a day to just once . I'm waiting on call back from his doctor

It could be at the tip. I get a q-tip and put Vaseline and then stick it in the tip of his butt hole. Oh & a little karo syrup will help a lot !
