Had a hard time getting him to latch and his blood sugar was low 😭 they took him to the nursery and made me pump I just want him in my arms I had him at about 7 and between visitors and the nurses I have barely got to be with him
It's probably from the stress of the hard contractions the pitocin causes or the effects of the epidural. Baby should recover.
They had told me it couldn't be done in the room @californiahaley is it something they could just be telling me
@tlc82995, they can do both those things in your room. My son had an IV for blood sugar as well they did it in my room and he never left.
Well they had to put him on some oxygen and an iv to bring his blood sugar up and I guess his oxygen levels were only 87% I just want him in my arms
I agree with @californiahaley. You should tell them you want him with you. My son never left my room either.
Tell them you want him in your room. They can't keep him from you. My son never left my room. And request to have a lactation consultant come to your room.
Some places may be different considering baby isn't considered full term yet !
