It doesn't have to be a baby detergent per say just make sure it's free of fragrance and chemicals

@audreyaunna, you don't have to wash everything I washed all the new born and 0-3 months clothing because remember by the time he reaches 3 months he will have his shots and you want to get his immune system strong and use to clothing chemicals and germs

I use All free and clear

I use whatever soap the house is using and in the softener section of the washing machine I put white vinegar because it's s natural softener, it sets the colors so they don't bleed and vinegar removes all soap residue😄😄i thought the clothes would smell like vinegar but nope😆
