So went to my 6 week check up and my doctor told me that I need to gain weight if I want to continue to breast feed...but I don't gain weight

really? well all that stuff could mess with your supply.

No she said gain weight she suggested I eat fried chicken, fried foods and she even told me to buy a tub of Neapolitans ice cream lol @cookiemonster1216 @steph11

exactly^^^ I wouldn't worry about gaining weight I have the same problem I can't gain weight but make sure you take a vitamin and eat a super balanced diet!

She may be suggesting you need to eat well to make sure your breast milk is full of nutrients. Lots of protein, good fats, vitamin intake, not too much caffeine, etc.
