most kids will come up with a nickname for a person they like. and no matter what they will stick with that name, it's cute to actually let them pick some times. I would just let her know daddy is not an okay term for him.

that's what I call my step dad whom of which has been divorced from my mom for 10 years and he's always been a father figure for me.

I don't really want to go into the territory of daddy names so i thought something cute that little kids might call the parent's best friend

kids will do it on there own I have a 11 year old a 9 year old a 4 year old. I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years my 4 year old calls him daddy since he was small he was 1 year and 2 months when I met him and he loves him and my 9 year old started calling him daddy on his own around 2 years into the relationship and for my 11 year old he started maybe 6 months ago and it came from them on there own and I was shocked especially from my oldest and they know there dad but my oldest said I know I have my dad but arturo my so his my father his the one teaching me and talking to me . I told him it was his decision and if he felt it it was fine my so was in such a shock but it made him feel good. I guess he feels more appreciated since I don't work and there dad don't send child support so he supports all of us and his 10 year old daughter and the daughter on the way. srry so long but if that person comes and wins the baby's heart there's no way u can stop it just enjoy it
