I just about burst into tears in my office over a website and support system that I never knew existed. it's called breastfeeding in combat boots and it offers advice and regulation assistance to military mothers on how to feed their little one in whatever way they can. I was so afraid I wouldn't be able to breastfeed for long because of going back to work 42 days after I have my boy. I have a friend whose supply dried up because she does 12 hour shift work and her supervisor wouldn't allow her appropriate time to pump, because there is no specific army regulation on it. this website gives me hope that I will be able to breastfeed Oliver for as long as possible and I hope my new unit is supportive of it.
