I "always" count from when I know I'm in full labor. like with my second child I was in "active labor" from 3am-12pm I don't count that as labor. 12:30pm my water broke 4:43 I had him. so I say I was in labor 4hours with him.

okay. thank you. ☺. so i was in active labor from 2:30am-10:30 pm i think. then water was broke and had her at 1:28 am. almost 3 hours of labor.@queenquee,

well if you guys are counting from when your water broke then I was in labor for like 4 minutes lol. at 430am my water leaked and contractions started. and my water broke and pushed him at about 6:47 and had him at 7:51am.

lol yea me too, I do know there is a difference tho. I heard a doctor say that women say that they were in labor for 38 hours but really they weren't because it was active labor. (I just picked any number)
