So I'm going to be honest and I hope no one gets offended or makes mean comments , I really need to vent. As a first time mom, when I was pregnant I thought having a baby was going to be easy and fun and stress free. I was in for a shock when he was born. The time at the hospital I was fine. As soon as I got home , I just felt down. Now don't get me wrong I love my son with all my heart, but i started thinking. It would never just be me and my fiancé again, things would be so much harder now, I wouldn't have time to focus on me. Then I started thinking maybe we rushed having a baby, maybe it wasn't the right thing to do. And I started having breakdowns every day. I'd be feeding him or just carrying him and start crying. Thinking this is not what I want. All he would do is cry cry cry that first week home, he would be fed and clean and still cry and I would feel like a horrible mom cause I couldn't calm him down and I felt like I was failing. I wasn't getting any sleep so that was making things worse. He was up every 30 min to an hour. All he wanted was to be on my boob. I felt like I was losing myself , I was exhausted and emotionally drained. I finally talked to my mom about how I was feeling and I felt better after, she reassured me I was doing great and I was a good mom and that feeling how I was is completely normal. Being a mom is no way easy it's the toughest thing you will face in your life, but it's also the best thing to ever happen to me. I still have breakdowns but all I do is look at my son and think you need to be strong for him, he is depending on you. When he smiles at me or just lays his head down on my chest, I feel this wonderful feeling that he loves me and I swear I instantly feel better! So for any moms going through PPD, just keep your head up, I know it's tough but you will get through it, be strong for your baby! And talk to someone ! It really does help. I'm taking it day by day and trying my best to really be happy and not let it affect me in how I am with my son and fiancé. You'll have good days and you'll have bad days but it's all part of being a mom. I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything in the world no matter how tough it gets , I love my son so much he is my pride and joy!

Awwww this is beautiful! Thank you for sharing. It's always helpful for us first one moms who are still pregnant to hear that not everything is perfect once the baby is born. Thanks for sharing strategies on how you cope. I feel the love you have for your son, and that bond is unbreakable. He won't stay little forever, so cherish every moment as hard as it is! And no, of course things won't ever be the same with you and your fiancé, but it can't be. Change can be good too! You're a mom! ❤️

Ppd really makes you think some horrible things, but we have to be strong enough to know that it really isn't how we feel. I wouldn't wish it on anybody! I've come to realize that this change has been the best thing to happen to me and him. ❤️💙Our love is stronger. Everything we do , we do for our son now. We have both grown up in these last three weeks. It's incredible how instant that motherly instinct kicks in. I just have to remember he's a baby he's going to cry, I think every mom need to understand that. I feel that's what makes us feel like we aren't doing a good job is when our baby is crying after we've fed and changed them and nothing is helping. @tracynangel

girl I totally feel you right now this is my second baby but it's so much harder this time around ethan is 1000 times different then brayden was he cries so much it really makes me think sometimes that it wasn't the right time either, even tho we weren't trying for another baby we love him to death but the sleepless night and crying I broke down today like really broke down hysterically crying my bf just talked to me tried to comfort me he ended up taking ethan in the living room and just letting me have some alone time. when ever you feel that way if it's possible just get someone to watch the baby and try and take a long bubble bath play some music light some candles and just clear your mind i did that tonight and I feel so much better. I really hope you feel better girl just know that the way your feeling is not bad at all its just apart of being a new mommy, I'd you ever feel like you need to talk or vent you can msg me on here on dm me on Instagram we follow each othery names is itsDee_latrice22

Its like reading my life when I red ur story. Thanks for sharing. I went through the same when my first child was born. Specially when I didnt have anyone there for me to guide me or help me. Like u said its normal to have those feelings. Your post will help moms who feel this way, cuz u automaticilly think u are a bad mom for having those feeling which is not true. Just the fact that u think u are a bad mom for having second thoughts , feelings tells u care and love ur child more than anything
