Hi Ladies not pregnancy related but if my hair is dark brown and I want to dye it blonde. can I use box dye?
Yeah I would just wait or have a friend or someone who's done it before do it for you! @zaydenmomma
Box dye will turn u orange. Blonde is hard to get to if your dark brown. I would get it professionally done
@mommytobe116, I'm just scared of killing it my hair is so healthy right now.
Just follow the bleach instructions, don't keep it in too long, and you should be fine.
I have dark brown hair, and I didn't go blonde but red. I bleached it myself. it made my hair yellowish . Then you just dye it the blonde you want. I've been doing my hair since 15. So it depends on if your comfortable doing it yourself or not! Plus If you don't like it, you can always just dye it back ☺️
If you're looking into going blonde I would definitely get it professionally done. I did mine with box dye and it totally fried my hair 😭 I seriously had to cut it like 7 or 8 times to finally get the fried ends off and had to dye it back to brown because if I didn't my hair would continue to stay fried until the blonde grew out on its own
i would go to a sallys and get the color and developer 20-30 depending on how light you want it. 20- 30 minutes once will do the trick... definitely worth it
I recommend professional I did mine like that and fried my top layer it doesn't hold any color now
under 20 for all it depends on what else you have to buy and the size you get.... gloves and a bottle to put in or a brush and bowl both reusable. clips come in handy! would start at hairline then roots and with 10 mins. left pull through all hair and they also sell something protein blue and white little bottle add that and it helps keep your hair strong. id also recommend using a little leftover developer and conditioner dont need much developer... creates a deep conditioner. i always do my own hair so i buy in bulk. doesnt go bad for a while and i get good products. once you get used to it and understand what your doing you can experiment with colors and what not to get exactly what you want. they also have guides online
