from what I heard (don't quote me on this I don't have any children yet) you can't over feed a baby. a baby will stop eating once they are full.

it all depends i would think the same and was scared to overfeed but at 6 weeks Sebastian ate about 4oz hes up at 6oz now hes 4 months

Some babies eat more give her the 3 oz if she still seems hungry start small with 1 oz if she's still hungry another. Make sure she's actually hungry and not just wanting to suck something because it's a natural reaction for babies to want to suck. If you use a paci offer that after the first bottle of that doesn't cut it then offer the formula

You can over feed a baby with formula not with breast milk but U can try a little more and see if baby wants it my son is 3 month he drinks 5-6oz every 4hrs

@firsttimemommy89, you can't over feed a nursing baby you can over feed a bottle fed baby.

really, he use to be 3hrs but now its 4hrs. and I might start him on baby food because he looks at my food and starts the mouth movements lol

Oh okay I thought 3oz would be enough since she's so little lol but I will increase her bottle by an Oz and go from there cuz every time I feed her she finishes the 3oz and she cries when I take it away from her so I let her nurse till she falls asleep @firsttimemommy89 @gabby0317 @californiahaley

Give her something to suck on like a paci if that stops her crying then she's not hungry. If she spits it out and keeps crying the she's probably hungry.
