Been in labor for over 24 hours now. Been dilated to a 5 and 75% effaced since around 9 o'clock this morning and it is now 9:30 at night. Still having contractions but they aren't causing me to dilate and the doctors won't give me any medicine to speed things up since I'm only 36 weeks however, baby is measuring at 39 weeks and is already 8 pounds and 4 ounces. And they won't let me go home until after he is born even if it takes weeks... Hoping baby boy will hurry up and get this show on the road.
