They will swab you to check for the strep bacteria which a lot of women carry. it's not harmful to you but can be very bad for the baby if exposed during birth. if you're positive they will give you antibiotics during labor.
you're welcome. it doesn't hurt either. they just swab your vaginal area and mine did it around the outside of my bottom real quick but it's nothing bad.

Yup that's what my next appointment is and hubby isn't too thrilled bc my doctor is a man lol
