Been MIA for a while, & here's why:

My baby shower was on Saturday. A lot of complications with the decorations that day, but overall it turned out great! Saw friends that I haven't seen in a while. Met some of the boyfriends family and friends. And baby girl got some great gifts! The day turned out better than expected, thanks to my mom & best friend. But unfortunately I came home to some bad news. I decided to hop on Facebook, where I saw the unfortunate news that my godmother had passed away. Granted, I wasn't doing my part to keep up with her daily life or health, but we both had busy lives helping raise other people's kids that we just contacted each other when needed. We understood that about each other. What hurt my feelings the most was, not only her passing but the fact that I found out on Facebook. For my entire life I've known her to always be there. For every award ceremony, every holiday, every birthday, just everyday period. My mom has known her for 32 years. And none of them had the decency to call and inform us of anything. Come to find out that she had a stroke getting ready for my shower. My feelings were crushed. And that's how my babyshower day went.
