the ultrasound techs put that my placenta is anterior???? what does this mean? Google is confusing…

It means your placenta is like a little pillow inbetween your baby and your tummy. So it makes it harder to feel movements until like 23-25 weeks then you'll be able to feel movement. It's not really a big deal but I'm surprised she didn't mention it.

all it means is that it's backwards, it's leaning more towards your back than to the front of your tummy. I had that too... when you're placenta starts getting bigger it'll position itself back to normal :)

I never thought to ask about it because this is my first baby so I didn't know if it was a bad thing or a good thing :/

no, it's more towards the front of your tummy. that's why it would be harder to maybe feel movement earlier on rather than later. like imagine it like this. you have your bump, then your placenta, then your baby. the other way is your bump, baby, then the placenta behind the baby. it's totally ok nothing wrong with it being there! I had that too and I saw my ultrasound tech put it on the screen, she never told me. it also made it harder to get a clear picture of her when I went in for a 4d ultrasound because the placenta was kind of in the way lol. all that fuzzy looking stuff around her in that ultrasound was the placenta.(-:
