Me and my husband both agreed that all our boys will be circumcised this is our third son and he will have it done as well. We agree that's it's better to have done as a new born than later on.. It's done really quick and it heals really fast as well.
I'm not having a boy but my baby's father isn't and it's changed my opinions on a lot of things. Yes he does get More irritation around all that skin but he has a really well functioning penis and great sex.
Also my son had to have his redone at 2.5. It wasn't terrible, but I wish he didn't have to go through it at that age let alone as a teen
@Ann_kzz, is the main reason I was for it. As well as it being a dirty issue, an I worked in surgery, it's extremely common for older men to have to have it done.
Unfortunately, the dad won't be in the picture. I still think it's a better idea to circumcise. I just really didn't know the reason not to.
If your child's father is in his life, that may be a decision that he may want to make. Simply because he understands the upkeep of it and pros/cons better than we would because we're females
I agree with @xo_skinnyminnie my husband was circumcised. We have discussed it and our 2 reasons are 1) To prevent any diseases or infections in the future 2) Since daddy is circumcised we both agreed that we want him to be just like daddy
I didn't get my son done when he was born. biggest mistake of my life! he got an infection and he had to get an emergency circumcision at 5 years old. it was extremely painful for him. I felt so bad. :/
my son was circumcised 9 days ago and he is healed and perfectly fine. the only time when he seemed to be hurting from it was when the ring started falling off. but that only took a day and a half. I don't see any problem with it. it helps with less infections early and later on
10000% against. my baby is perfect as is and doesn't need cosmetic surgery.
I am for it ! I had my first son done and I was present the entire time . When I had made the appointment I was nervous and the secretary said don't be nervous The Doctor is amazing I have seen boys leave here not even crying , I thought to myself yeah right but sure enough the doctor was quick and great at what he did my son did not even cry a single tear heeled up quickly with the bell so no changing of gauze or anything . Will be having baby boy done as well !
I am for circumcision.. I mean if a 4 year old barely washes his hands hes hardly going to clean his penis right after using the restroom.. For me it's just seems safer and cleaner. Also since my husband is circumcised I wanted my son to be too that way he wouldn't question why he was different or if something was wrong with him.. But like it was mentioned before it's just a personal choice.
If we were to have had a boy this pregnancy, he would have gotten circumcised, but we're having a girl. However our 2 year old is circumcised as well.
cut it off! ;)
