Yes it did! @kenecia I was pretty much dilating a cm and hour and then when I got the epidural it took forever to dilate, it also make my contractions not as strong. I also had a hotspot when I first got it. His head was blocking some nerves so I still felt the contractions on one side until they gave me an extra dose or whatever it was.

omg now thats crazy i hope and pray that i have him b4 my due date im almost 35 weeks and big n miserable i couldn't imagine waiting until after 40wks ugh!! & the epidural slowed down ur labor?? @soontobemommy

I was 38 weeks and I didn't have any bad contractions until about 30 minutes before I went into the hospital. When I went in I was 7 cm dilated. I was admitted into the hospital and given an epidural. About an hour later I was fully dilated. My doctor had to go do a c-section so they left me, my husband, my mom, and grandma in the room for another hour. When they came back the nurse had to break my water and they then told me I could start pushing. I pushed for 1 hr and on May 1 2015 at 12:16 am I gave birth to a 7.2 lbs and 20in. healthy baby boy. But when he came out I didn't hear him cry but I had passed out from losing too much blood. My husband told me that the umbilical cord was wrapped around our sons neck. When I came to my son was crying laying skin to skin on my stomach and I began to cry because I had waited so long to meet this little boy. I tried holding him but I was shaking so bad from the epidural I couldn't.

My son was a week late. But in his due date I was sure he was coming, I get like I had been hit by a truck and had the flu, I felt like that 90% of the week leading up to having him. I went to the doctor Tuesday I was 40w2days the doctor set me to be induced Sunday night at midnight and he would've born some time Monday. Well Saturday I was getting some lite contractions through out the day. And I decided to go in at 6 and I was only a 2 the same as my appointment. So I went home, ate a couple bites and went to bed. I woke up at midnight the 18 and was having horrible contractions, I got to the hospital at 3 and I was a 3, I walked around, I bounced on the ball and at 5 I was dilated to a five so I got moved to my delivery room and got my epidural things slowed down big time. They broke my water at like 10am and I laid there and laid there and then around 8:45 one half of my cervix was dilated to 10 and the other half was 9.5 so the put this ball type thing between my legs and had me lay in my side and at I finished dilating. I started pushing at like 9:50 and he was born at 10:15 pm. 8lbs even and 20.5 inches long💕

I didn't have any contractions or pains until 3 days before I had her.. basically labored at home for three days but at night they would be like 10/15 min apart and during the day like 25/30 min apart. I had my doctors appointment on a Friday so the third day of this pattern. I was STILL at 2cm. I was so mad. so my bf wanted to go to the casino. lol we did and I just walked around like the whole time we were there. came home and I had to keep pacing thru my apartment. basically till sat. then they were really close like 7 and 8 min apart. my dad came over and I went and ran errands with him cuz I wanted to walk around some more. we did that for like 2 hrs and then I was at their house laying down and had a huge contraction and my water broke like 1 min after. we ran down to the hospital which war only like 10 min from their house. I get a room and get checked like 30 min later and I'm already at 5cm. now my contractions were like a min or 2 apart. they were trying to check me in and ask ask these Damn questions and I told then finally I wanted the epidural. then they tell me I gotta finish this bag of fluid in my iv in order to get it. so I'm like ok wtf let's get it moving. then everything started happening so fast and I couldn't concentrate on anything but the pain. and basically I felt like I had to push and the nurse checked me I was like a7 or 8 now. she's trying to get the doctor over asap but since he was on call he had to drive over. he finally gets there and I've been basically trying to holds my baby in cuz she was COMING look I told the nurse she's gone have to deliver my baby. he finally got there and low 4 pushes later she was OUT! all natural :) I was at the hospital for only like 3 hrs and she was out lol
