my bf agrees with me too! He's got my back on this. I love his dad but his step mom has some issues and if she pulls out that cigarette i told my bf I'd take my baby amd go outside and won't go back in there. ever.

@mssjudyk, I know it's insane! My husband feels the same as me though so at least we are on the same page! I will say that they are trying a little to change they mostly go outside now that we've said something but sometimes they "forget" I'm like you better not forget when my little boy gets here or I may just forget to bring him over!

My bfs family likes to smoke in front of babies. they know it's wrong but don't care amd still do it :( I told my bf i would NOT bring my son over ever again if they took out a cigarette and smoked while he was there.

@mssjudyk, definitely disagree a lot of advances and new findings have come out in the 26 years since she had her son. I don't think she knows what best for me and my family. For instance she doesn't see anything wrong with smoking in the house or around me yet we know now it's not ok for pregnant women or children be around smoke and a lot of my husbands health issues as a child are contributed to being in a smoking household. I would never take anyone's opinion over my dr, sound medical research, or my own instincts. That's just me though! 😀

well they DO know what's best. You cant deny that.
However You are the pregnant one, you know your body, YOUR mommy instincts start to kick in, so your decisions are what's best for you and baby:) Also, things can go thru one ear and out the other. I do that with my MIL.. I nod, I listen I agree but at the emd of the day I do what I WANT :)

Yes she definitely thinks she knows what's best us. It's beyond frustrating!

@queenmother, right?! I love my MIL and she was great up until we told her I was pregnant. now she's all on my ass about what I should be eating/doing. not to mention I am apparently milking this pregnancy to get out of chores just because her last pregnancy (18 years ago) wasn't that bad. ugh. I hate that she thinks she knows what's best for baby and me lol
