Yes, the way I think of it, I'll have plenty of kiddy parties when she arrives. My family is very traditional, at least my moms side of the family and I feel some may feel offended. @kjsimon @kgood

Oh well, haha.. now a days people are having kids without being married like me. my family thinks it werid that my boyfriend hasn't asked me yet. and we are about to have our second child. @lilymama

I'm sure they will understand that it's all about you and your child's fathering welcoming a new baby and wanting to celebrate with everyone close to regardless of a gender! I would just do it and if they feel offended then they can just take you out to eat or something lol

I'll be the first to have a baby out of wedlock on my mothers side..and well it's looking like I'll be a single mother too, since it looks like things aren't gonna work out between BD and me. He will be there for us though I have no doubt @kjsimon @kgood my sister and mom are throwing it for me I just have the say in everything and today I hit them with the adult only idea, they were planning a kid friendly, early day party with bouncy houses and I put a stop to it right then and there lol. I love kids, I just don't want a kid party for my baby shower, that's where I think they'll feel a little more offended.

Not weird at all. Our wedding was adults only! Haha. At $150 a plate, I didn't want children there. Nobody seemed to mind.

Right people do it all the time, but it's not as common with baby showers @jennatess that's why I needed opinions

@lilymama, I would think of a cute little rhyme to put on the invites, informing that it's 'grown ups only'.

I thought the same thing with my boyfriend. we had it rough after our 1st son came early. we were fighting a lot. he was going out late and staying out late.. Than we broke up for a little bit to give each other space. and what do you know we get back together.. don't get me wrong it's been rough since but it you both truly love each other than it will work out in the end.. we will be together 5 years in july. @lilymama

Well I'll be moving out soon @kjsimon we will see what happens from there, I truly wish we can make it work, if not it wasn't meant to be. Glad you guys are making it work though, fixed me hope.

Anytime girl. I know how it feels to think the father of your child and you art going to make it.. I was so upset for a long time. couldn't eat couldn't sleep.. it worked out in the end for me. hopefully it does for you. @lilymama

I'm having a co-ed party... not many have small kids but I have a person who will be entertaining the kids who do come separately from the baby shower. But it's your party, your rules! 😊

My sis is throwing me a female only baby shower, no gifts cause I'm extremely picky, monetary gifts and or diapers only. @lilymama
