I spent almost half of the $ we set aside for the baby yesterday and there is still so much more we need 😦 I don't know what to do! I don't wanna settle for junk just cuz that's all we can afford. Any suggestions? I've already had two baby showers by the way - which got me a bunch of clothes but not much else.

don't feel bad if you buy used. I know it's nice to buy all new but a lot of the things you think you need you will rarely even use. I bought a lot of stuff new off ebay or bst sites. most of his clothes are used but like new. check out clearance. I got a mamaroo for $75. only thing I am picky about is the car seat which I got on sale with the stroller. check garage sales too. you can find like new items super cheap.

used doesnt necessarily mean junk hun... alot of times you can find cribs and cradles and dressers changing tables etc in great condition for really good prices. i know shopping online you could probably find really good deals...

@junebaby, I'm definitely not against buying used, but I'm worried about safety regulations. Are strollers the same as car seats as far as safety concerns?

I don't think that used = junk, but rather cheap = junk

strollers and cribs are fine and you can check for recalls.
