They get oxygen through the umbilical cord from you breathing and oxygenating your own blood. Why it's so much harder to work out, climb stairs, etc. you're breathing for two basically.

the umbilical cord filters their blood removing waste and also delivers oxygen and nutrients to their body. it's pretty amazing.
