How long do hemorrhoids last? I've been having this super painful, throbbing bulge there for 3 days…

@chloesmomma2015, I had them when I was pregnant with my son and they didn't go away until about 6 weeks postpartum :( im 23 weeks and they're starting again!

@chloesmomma2015 have u tried preparation H? Be sure to drink plenty water and don't strain while pooping get some stool softners if needed. I had my son 4 years ago and I just had my daughter a month ago and to this day I still have them and they come out sometimes.

I have tried preparation h cream, another cream that has dubicaine for pain in it, and witch hazel wipes. It's like no relief :( @kingryansmom

@chloesmomma2015 ask ur doctor if you can take ibuprofen but please ask your doctor thou bcuz my dr told me it was ok but every woman is different

@kingryansmom I called my doctor and talked to the triage nurse. She is going to call me back and said they can either prescribe me something prescription strength or send me to a specialist :/ waiting on a callback.

hemorrhoids are just a pain in the ass! lol theres not much they can do but prescibe creams, you're doing all the right things. If they worsen after birth they could so a procedure to remove them, usually after they're not inflamed theyre not uncomfortable anymore...
