I called the birth coordinator of my hospital and she said they do not do any parental testing, that's something u would have to do on ur own time. the birth certificate is filled out at the hospital and the father is whoever u deem it to be. they have a questionnaire to complete after birth, most of which is done by the nurse cuz they have all your info.

you don't need a mandatory DNA test for state assistance either. all you need is proof of giving birth to the child like their birth certificate & social security card and your ID to prove that your name is on birth certificate & that it's your child.

I've lived in Florida all of my life & I've never heard that you need a mandatory DNA test for anything after you give birth unless you request one.
