I know this sounds stupid but can I swim in the ocean or swimming pool after 30days normal labor or do I have to wait for my 6-8weeks checkup? My doctor is annoying I havent asked him things that I wanna know.

I've stopped bleeding but sometimes theres little bloodspots

They say not to really submerge until after six weeks. Especially in a pool. Its because of infection and a pool could have all sorts of bacteria and chemicals that could cause you problems. Same reason that you need to abstain from sex and not use tampons for the bleeding. Infection can cause major problems.

@cookiemonster1216, thx a lot that helps a lot. I was thinking the same. Specially the pool. I easily get urine infection when I swim in the pool so thats why it got me thinking its probably worse 30after labor even though Im not bleeding

@kay80, no problem! I had my Dd last June and missed all of swimming season last year 😑 But hopefully this summer I make it to the pool! 😊 You have not too long before you can though! Make sure to get the go ahead from your doc at your 6wk appointment!
