My baby boy sure is a fighter❤️ Had open heart surgery at 9 days old, and survived that. Has Di'George Syndrome which is a rare syndrome (the deletion of the 22nd chromosome) also known as 22q deletion syndrome. He has surprised doctors all year long. The other day a doctor said she wondered how he ever even survived that long with his heart not functioning correctly. God sure does create blessings and miracles <3 I couldn't be more thankful. Love how his scar has healed this past year <3(:

@babymama1015, @juliagail09 he sure is. He also has no thymus gland so everytime he's sick even over a simple cold we have to go three hrs away to shands and he has to be hospitalized. Can't have any live vaccines such as the flu shot or chicken pox shot because giving him those shots would give him those viruses. Most people have T cells which fight against the virus to strengthen their immune system, but he has no T cells meaning nothing to fight against the virus. It's actually pretty interesting learning all this stuff. That's just a symptom with Di'George along with low calcium which his takes meds for because if he doesn't and it gets too low he can have a seizure. Nurses here don't know of it so I always have to explain then they get interested and look it up. His name ironically means "fighter" too. He's just the best blessing ever.
