The first appointment is usually a full pap n std ck they will see if they can hear the heart beat at that time as well and order blood work

The pap is quick about 10 min just got to get some swabs for testing then listen for the heart best my first appointments never went over 30 min

my doc just checked heart beat asked if there was anything unusual and sent me on my way. Nothing serious. But you can always have your man wait in the waiting room if they do an exam.

I would have him come because he will see the baby and I know it will make him really realize what's going on and he will be excited

Not all doctors do an ultrasound on the first appointment most ultrasounds are scheduled I never had my bf come with for the first appointment cuz of the exam but he always came after that and if they hear the heart beat u can just record it with ur phone and let him hear it after its the first appointment U have many more to go there is nothing wrong with u wanting to do this one alone
