spoke to my doctor about my acne issue today. I've tried a lot in the past. I'm now taking an antibiotic (which I have before). he said it probably won't do much, but he needed to at least try it before we move on. call there in a couple weeks to see how it's doing on the antibiotic. he's researching another hormonal option for me and if we are unable to try it I will be referred to a dermatologist to start the process of being put on accutane.😕

Ugh I had the worse acne as a teen. The pill really was the only thing that helped me!

@tracynangel, the pill was the only thing that really helped me too! but I have the nexplanon and I decided to just keep it in because I don't want another baby for awhile. so now we're looking into another hormonal option and if not then accutane which makes me a little nervous haha.

@tracynangel, apparently! it's very controlled. you have to get blood tests done every month you're on it and sign up for some program. it's imperative you do NOT get pregnant on it, as just one pill can cause extreme birth defects. you only take it for a certain amount of months and you're skin gets flawless on it. it like almost completely stops oil production. crazy stuff.
