Your opinion on giving a 3 month baby water?

I think you're not suppose to give them water . I heard 2 parents killed their baby by mixing water with milk

oh wow because i took my daughter to the ER for being constipated and they told me to give her water when it happends atleast an ounce or 2

do it . my daughter had water when she was a baby . they need water so the kidneys can can itself out . the doctor will say no but , if you don't you baby is more likely to suffer from colic and the pee will smell kind of strong @eileensmom

I would do it every once in a while just like a half ounce. But I read they shouldn't get water because they're milk has 80% water. which is what causes water intoxication. but I'm not sure how true the 80% thing is

you should probably call and ask before you do it just to Make sure and see how much is okay , yes water can kill a baby there are certain ages prefer for when a baby gets water , cows milk etc and that's sad @babylylasmommy I saw that :\

like maybe an an ounce or two a day . not much but just enough so she can be hydrated @eileensmom . my sister is and nurse and she told me that @eileensmom

No!! there tummy can't handle plain water unless your using it with formula like it's labeled to use.. I'd call your pediatrician and they can help

you should call and ask first. I've read that babies shouldn't have water till about 6months.

and if your baby is constipated you could always try prun juice mixed with water.
