When did doctors start checking to see if your dilated ?

My doctor checked at 35

with my first, my doctor started checking at 33 weeks. With my second w/ a new doctor he checked at 38 weeks because if they start checking early they can cause you to dilate when you don't need to. (At least that's what I was told) who knows though?

I got checked at 36 weeks, 38 weeks and I'll get checked this week too. If they check too often it can cause a greater risk for infection.

tummy then two weeks later.he will check my cervix...so ill be most 37 weeks when he checks..I.though he would check sooner but I dunno

My doctor checks every appointment since I was 34 weeks 5 days.
