Anyone else watched Kids on Speed??? I hate doctors diagnosed so many kids with ADHD and sometimes…

You hvnt met my son . He really has it . He's like a lil motor .

@elenaj, I understand some kids have it but they were saying that anytime a kid is over active they try to diagnose them with that.

No it's deeper than simply being over active . Lack of impulse control . Poor attention span . Lack of ability to focus on simple tasks . Poor handwriting skills . It's soo deep . I feel bad for my son at times . He's a sweet kid but extremely hyper .

@jenkobe8348, I agree with you! Most times the kids just need to go outside and play. It's so annoying how in this day and age Dr's want to medicate for everything. They don't look for solutions they just try to cover it all up..

No he won't . ADHD is an chemical imbalance of the brain . And for those that think it's all about medicating them . It's not . You have to get them cognitive behavior therapy which teaches kids , teens , adults how to deal with their ADHD as well as emotions .

@trezelle, @jenkobe8348 Sometimes kids need to go out & simply play but sometimes it's really a mental health issue . As parents you have to do your own research when they try and diagnose your child . When I was told my son had ADHD , I did my research first before I took that diagnoses . And at first he wasn't on any medication but when his teachers , principal were cAlling me daily because my son couldn't focus and was being disruptive and not learning due to his behaviors I knew he had to get medication therapy along with cognitive behavior therapy . As well as classroom accommodations for students with ADHD .

@elenaj, I completely understand what you saying. And agree parents should definitely look into it deeper before accepting diagnosis
